Welcome to the Dirty Jobs Linkshell on the Istory server!

MISSION

1) First and foremost the mission of "Dirty Jobs" linkshell is to have fun and to foster an environment where members are excited to login to the game, and enjoy themselves while they play.

2) We also strive to learn all aspects of FF14 and to excel in them. This includes characters of every combat class (disciples of Magic and of War) that can defeat the toughest challenges and Disciples of the Hand of all types who can, as a unit, craft any craftable item in-game!

3) Furthermore, we wish to be known as good people as well as good players and take a positive role in the Istory server community.

MEMBERSHIP

1) Dirty Jobs is an English speaking Linkshell operating out of the U.S. Euro and Azn members are welcome as long as they can communicate in English and are OK with what for them might be odd playing times!

2) Dirty Jobs does not discriminate based on RL age; however members of our Linkshell are expected to act in a mature way in "public" on our server and in the FF14-related internet community. EX: no begging, spamming, or crude comments allowed from our members!

3) Members are NOT bound to any specific class/job: in fact it seems to be SqEnix's intent to foster a playstyle that includes playing many Jobs. Members need not select one class/job as their "main Job," though they can if they wish. Gaining a high level in a combat class, of course, will facilitate our participation in higher-level quests, groups, and raids when these things are available!

4) members are encouraged to group with other members, to learn the ropes of their class/Job in a group setting. "LS Events" will be held "officially" (by me) 3x/week beginning soon after the official retail release, but any member in good standing is welcome, and in fact encouraged, to setup and run their own event. When the time comes, the LS events will become our times for multi-group content (ie raids) if/when such things become available. Exact times and days of the week are not set in stone but will likely be 2 weekdays and one weekend at some point in the evening. Members will be surveyed when it comes time to develop a permanent plan! We will not enforce attendance, but it's expected that members in good standings should make 2 of the 3 events per week, or 8 per month.

5) members are encouraged to visit the Linkshell Forums regularly and to foster the same great community on the boards as we hope to achieve in-game.

6) members may not harass or bully other members (or, for that matter, nonmembers!), and chat is expected to be kept "pg-13" (in other words, it is understood that sometimes a bad word leaks out, but those leaks should be the exception rather than the rule).

7) the best recruitment tool is a happy linkshell member! members who find a good potential member in a non-linkshell group are encouraged to send them here to the forums to register.

8 ) Members are expected to read and follow the Linkshell Rules found on this website!

9) lastly, the way linkshells work in ff14 allows players to have many linkshells. We do not prohibit or discourage this, but we do ask that "Dirty Jobs" linkshell be your primary linkshell for your activities in ff14 during U.S.A. prime-time. Space in linkshells is not unlimited and this means active members are good members.

I really do hope that this Linkshell will be a home for all of us for a long and productive time!
